Description

Lencolo 8540 is a new type of hydroxytriazine high-efficiency antioxidant, offering excellent thermal stability and environmental durability. Particularly suitable for coatings used under high-temperature baking and extreme harsh conditions. Its light color and good photostability also make it especially suitable for UV-curable coatings.

Suitable for amine- or metal-catalyzed automotive OEM coatings and refinish paints. When used in combination with hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS), it provides enhanced performance, effectively suppressing gloss loss, cracking, bubbling, delamination, and discoloration in clearcoats.

Helps delay yellowing of polymers, improves material anti-aging and antioxidant properties, and prevents loss of physical properties.

Light-colored, non-toxic, good compatibility, low migration, and easy to process.

Can be used as a light stabilizer for various coatings.

Applications

Applicable to polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, unsaturated resins, ABS resin, epoxy resin, phenolic resin, polyurethane, polycarbonate, waxes, rubber, and other materials.

Also suitable for alkyd varnishes, polyurethane, acrylic, epoxy, and other coatings, including automotive refinish paints and powder coatings, providing excellent light stabilization.

Recommended Usage

This product can be added at any stage and should be dispersed uniformly after addition.

Recommended addition level: 0.2–3.0% based on total formulation. Can be used alone or in combination with other UV stabilizers.

Prior to use, it is recommended to perform a trial to determine the optimal application method and dosage.

Storage Conditions

To prevent premature polymerization due to the high reactivity of this product, keep it tightly sealed and store away from heat sources and direct sunlight. It is recommended to maintain storage temperature below 30 °C. Unused product should be promptly resealed and must not be left open. Under ventilated conditions at 25 °C, the product has a safe storage period of 6 months. Available packaging: 25 kg per drum
