Description

Lencolo 2190 is an organically modified polysiloxane containing fumed silica.It is an outstanding foam control and defoaming additive with excellent performance in high-solids and solvent-free systems. It effectively suppresses and eliminates bubbles generated during the manufacturing and application of epoxy coatings and UV-curable coatings, and is especially suitable for foam control in epoxy floor coatings.

Recommended Usage

For optimal defoaming, add before grinding or mixing. It can also be added afterward, but thorough stirring is required to ensure uniform distribution and effectiveness. In colored coatings, it is recommended to grind together with the pigment. Due to the high activity of Lencolo 2190, it can be pre-diluted to 10% with an aromatic solvent before addition. Because of the tendency of hydrophobic particles to settle, the diluted solution should be used immediately.

Addition amount: 0.1~1.0% of the total amount

Users are advised to determine the optimal dosage through trials prior to use.

Storage Conditions

To prevent premature polymerization due to the high reactivity of this product, keep it tightly sealed and store away from heat sources and direct sunlight. It is recommended to maintain storage temperature below 30 °C. Unused product should be promptly resealed and must not be left open. Under ventilated conditions at 25 °C, the product has a safe storage period of 6 months. Available packaging: 25 kg per drum.
