Lencolo 5023 is a low-yellowing liquid photoinitiator for UV-induced polymerization of unsaturated prepolymer systems. It offers an optimized balance between low residual odor, reduced exotherm during cure, and overall curing efficiency.

Applications

It is commonly used in clear varnishes for wood and plastic substrates. It is also applicable to optical films, and can be incorporated into conventional UV-curable formulations. It is particularly recommended for systems requiring low odor, low exotherm, and low-yellowing performance.

Recommended Usage

Recommended addition:

Film thickness 5-20μm: 2-4 %

Film thickness 20μm: 1-3%

It is recommended that users determine the optimal dosage through preliminary testing before use.

Storage Conditions

To prevent premature polymerization due to the high reactivity of this product, keep it tightly sealed and store away from heat sources and direct sunlight. It is recommended to maintain storage temperature below 30 °C. Unused product should be promptly resealed and must not be left open. Under ventilated conditions at 25 °C, the product has a safe storage period of 6 months. Available packaging: 25 kg per drum
