Lencolo 5008 is a versatile and high-efficiency photoinitiator suitable for polymerization of unsaturated prepolymers, such as acrylates, in combination with mono- or multifunctional vinyl monomers. It can also be applied in water-based systems.

Applications

It is suitable for acrylic-based light-curing varnish systems, such as paper overprint varnishes, metal varnishes, plastic coatings, UV printing inks, etc. It can also be used in adhesivesas a liquid UV photoinitiator, offering excellent compatibility and ease of blending. Particularly suitable for use in combination with other photoinitiators. Due to its good yellowing resistance, it is especially recommended for UV coatings that will be exposed to sunlight for extended periods.

Recommended Usage

Solubility (20℃, g/100g)

Compatible with most common organic solvents and most acrylic-based monomers.

Addition amount: 2~4% for film thickness 5~20mm; 1~3% for film thickness 2~200mm

It is recommended that users determine the optimal dosage through preliminary testing before use.

Storage Conditions

To prevent premature polymerization due to the high reactivity of this product, keep it tightly sealed and store away from heat sources and direct sunlight. It is recommended to maintain storage temperature below 30 °C. Unused product should be promptly resealed and must not be left open. Under ventilated conditions at 25 °C, the product has a safe storage period of 6 months. Available packaging: 25 kg per drum
